Somewhere in the middle

In 3 months, I will reach 1 year working at my job. That will be and at the moment is the longest I’ve ever worked for a company. All of my previous jobs have been short term, temporary jobs. Something I’ve started to realize and maybe am just over thinking it, is where do I fit in and interact with the people(co-workers) I work with and all the other people I see daily. Am stuck in the middle between two different age group of people. Those who are young, just finish college and then those who are older, married etc. It not something that bugs me, but it something I’ve become self aware. My previous jobs, I’ve had co-workers who were older or younger. Never been stuck in between both, so now am trying to adjust. Adjusting how to act, how to speak when you are dealing with younger and older people. Having conversation and what you should and shouldn’t bring up in conversation. A conversation you might have with a younger person is not the same conversation you would have with a older person. Unless it about politics or sports etc. Well, I continue on with my job duties and observer and listen to what going around me.

Well hope all of you are doing well mentally and physically with this pandemic. Can’t believe it been 1 year already. Take Care:)

Daily Prompt: Young at Heart

Young At Heart

What are your thoughts on aging? How will you stay young at heart as you get older?

Aging? My two cent on aging is that it just a number.  For me, am I usually told that I look younger then what my age is. At the same time, I am treating sometime like a teenager.  Someone that the older folk can take advantage and tell you what to do without encountering resistance.  Other times they think that I don’t know anything, until I start firing back at them like any other adult would do. Aging is just something we can’t escape just like we can’t escape death.  The only thing we can do is take care of our bodies physically and mentally. We can’t change the number, but we change the appearance of our age. Unfortunately we live in a world that cause our bodies to age much more faster such as smoking, beer, unhealthy foods etc. Making us look much older then what we are suppose look like.

As for getting older and staying young at the heart, I always like this quote by Henry Ford, “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.”
