Growing up when my mom would take me to school in the morning every now and then there would be a scent that would filter through the neighborhood. This usually happened during the winter months when cold front would past through making the winds blow in from the north carry the scent toward our home. The scent came from a small factory just about six blocks away, where workers were making pace picante Sauce. The scent from the peppers being prepared and mixed in would reach our nose as we step outside to the cold air. The scent was just enough just to wake you up in morning. Even today it always refreshing to smell that scent in the air.
