my-grandmother-asked-me-to-tell-you-shes-sorry-9781501115066_hrMy Grandmother asked me to tell you she’s sorry, by Fredrik Backman a book that has a little of everything in it. Family, love, death, fairy tales, life, friends, some laughs. My grandmother asked me to tell you she sorry is just what it about. A little girl name Elsa has a mission to complete, given by her grandmother before she passes on. Their relationship very close that Elsa’s grandmother tell her fairy-tale stories. Elsa not knowing that these fairy-tale stories she has heard from her grandmother are not only made up, but there a connection to her grandmother life and the people living with them that she has never heard about. Throughout her journey of delivering these letters she learns about the secrets of grandmother or mother never told her because she was to young to understand.

Just a few quotes that I like from reading the book.

“Changing memories is a good superpower.”

“If you can’t get ride of the bad, you have to top it up with more goody stuff.”

“If granny is a dysfunctional superhero, then mum is a very fully operational one.”

“Don’t fight with monsters, for you can become one. If you look into the abyss for long enough, the abyss looks into you.”
